Saturday June 18th saw the revival of the Steak Fry by Jim and Nancy Ervin. Quite a crowd of parishoners and friends showed up and the food was GREAT! Steak, baked potato, salads, veggies, lots of deserts, hot dogs, real steak knives even!
Following dinner we had the first Blind Auction, where you bid on big wonderful packages of "you don't know what". Typical items went for $20 to $35 with the winners finding a spice rack, an IOU for an Irene Machisko pie, a real Jim Ervin pie, a wallet and pocket knife, colored martini glasses, a wine bottle tote with a full bottle in it...(sorry, didn't think to get pictures during the auction...oh well...next time) The auction made just around $200.
